RTIP
Regional Transportation Improvement Program
As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), BCAG prepares a Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) every two years. The RTIP recommends projects for inclusion in the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which is adopted by the California Transportation Commission. The STIP has two components: the Regional Improvement Program (RIP), with projects nominated by regional agencies like BCAG, and the Interregional Improvement Program (IIP), with projects nominated by Caltrans.
2024 RTIP
BCAG has prepared and approved the 2024 Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP), adopted by the Board of Directors on December 7, 2023, and submitted to the California Transportation Commission by the December 15 deadline. Through a Call-for-Projects, BCAG made $8.4 million available over the next five fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024.
