Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC)

Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC)

The BCAG Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) was established under the requirements of the Transportation Development Act (TDA), to ensure that unmet transit needs are identified within Butte County.

The SSTAC reviews information on possible unmet transit needs, as part of the Unmet Transit Needs process. The committee generally meets once a year for these reviews. The SSTAC also provides a forum to address other transportation issues facing transportation of disabled citizens.

The SSTAC is a direct advisory council to the BCAG Board of Directors and includes representation as directed by statute. Council memebrs are agency representatives from area service organizations and agencies, citizens appointed by these groups and citizens-at-large that have applied to serve. Looking for a way to serve your community and have an input on Butte County public transit? SSTAC is a great place to start!

Applications to serve on the council are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed annually, as terms expire. Applications received between July 1 and June 30 of any fiscal year would be for council membership starting July 1 of the following fiscal year. Appointed members serve for a period of three years. Meetings are held in person at the BCAG office in Chico and there is always an option to attend via Zoom. Clink the link below to start your application today!

Applications for the 2023/24 fiscal year are closed.
