Regional Travel Demand Forecasting Model

The Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG) maintains a regional transportation model, also known as a regional travel demand forecasting model, for the Butte County region.  The model is used to develop forecasts for the region's transportation network and to assist in the analysis of regional transportation plans and air quality conformity determinations.
The BCAG transportation model was last updated in 2015/16 for the preperation of BCAG's 2016 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy.  A copy of the model development report and updated transit ridership forecasts have been included below.  Traffic volume forecasts will prepared and posted in 2017.
