FTA Programs

Program Overview
BCAG as the MPO for Butte County is charged with administering two new FTA programs created under SAFETEA-LU called the Jobs Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) programs. These federal programs are funded by FTA through the Caltrans Division of Mass Transportation.  BCAG continues to administer the Elderly and Disabled Specialized Transit Program (FTA 5310) as well.

Annual funding opportunities for the JARC program is approximately $51,000
Annual funding opportunities for the NF program is approximately $30,000
Relevant resource links are provided below.

A requirement for these funds and FTA Section 5310 funds is that new projects must be derived from a locally developed Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan for Butte county.  During the 2007/08 fiscal year, BCAG completed this planning requirement.
