The BCAG Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) was established under the requirements of the Transportation Development Act (TDA), to ensure that unmet transit needs are identified within Butte County.
 
The SSTAC reviews information on possible unmet transit needs, as part of the Unmet Transit Needs process. The SSTAC also provides a forum to address other transportation issues facing transportation disabled citizens.
 
The SSTAC is a direct advisory council to the BCAG Board of Directors and includes representation as directed by statute. Applications to serve on the council are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed annually, as terms expire.

Butte County Association of Governments is accepting nominees for the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC).
 
SSTAC council members review information on possible unmet transit needs within Butte County, as well as provide a forum to address other transportation issues facing persons who rely on public transit.  The SSTAC is a direct advisory council to the BCAG Board of Directors and includes representation as directed by statute.  The term of each appointment is 3 years. The council members meet on an "as needed" basis approximately 2-4 times per year during the work day.
 
While applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, to be considered for the 2010/2011 cycle, applications must be received by May 2, 2010.
