The Census Bureau will begin rolling out products from the 2010 Census in late 2010.

Key Dates
December 2010 - Apportionment Data (divides House of Representative seats)
March 2011 - Redistricting Data (block level population and housing)
June - August 2011 - Summary File 1 (detailed block level data... age, race, gender, etc.)

Decennial census data are used for geographically defining state legislative districts, a "redistricting" process that begins in 2011.  The data set includes the first totals or population and housing for the Butte County region.
